Welcome to Jakarta, is the capital city of the Republic of Indonesia. Jakarta is a huge, sprawling metropolis, home to over 10 million people with diverse ethnic group backgrounds from all over Indonesia.
Upon arrival at the Jakarta airport, your driver/guide will be waiting in the arrivals area, holding a sign with your name on it.
Jakarta is by far the biggest city in Indonesia and can be a little overwhelming for some, but if you look past the heavy traffic and skyscrapers, Jakarta has a lot of charm. Sunda Kelapa, the former harbour of Batavia where traditional wooden schooners dock, is definitely worth a visit – together with café Batavia. Jalan Sabang is great in the evening to get a first taste of local street food.

Jakarta City Tour
During today’s city exploration we highlight the fascinating historical old town of Batavia. You first visit the lively old harbour of Sunda Kelapa, with its brightly painted sailing ships, where you can admire the handmade Makassar schooners. Around the fish market there's also a maze of interesting shops to wander around. Continue on to Taman Fatahilla, the historical center of old Batavia, which is also home to the renovated Jakarta History Museum, Wayang Museum and Fine Art and Ceramics Museum. If time allows, you can visit some of these museums, or head on to enjoy lunch in Café Batavia.

Jakarta – Pangkalanbun: Orang Utan Boat Trip Tanjung Puting
Transfer to airport Jakarta for your flight to Pangkalan Bun
Flight by Batik Air 06.00 – 07.15 (Flight fair is not included in the package)
Upon your arrival in Pangkalan Bun Airport, you will be guided to your transfer to Kumai. It will take about 20 minutes. Upon your arrival in Kumai direct transfer to the houseboat, Lunch will be provided on board. Afterward boating down Kumai River takes approximately 15 minutes to reach Seikonyer River, the main river in Tanjung Puting National Park. Cruising up the Seikonyer river you will see nice vegetation around the river bank, Nipa Palm, Pandanus, and some kinds of trees growing up around the river. See some wildlife such as birds, Macaque, Proboscis Monkey and Orangutan, if the time still permits you will visit Orangutan feeding in Tanjung Harapan at 15.00 PM. Then At 16.00 return back to the boat and continue boating up to observe and learn more about Proboscis monkeys along the river banks. Proboscis monkeys are endemic animals that can be seen only in Borneo.

Pangkalanbun: Orang Utan Boat Trip Tanjung Puting
After breakfast, boating up to reach Pondok Tanggui, the second rehabilitation center for the orangutan. Visit the Orangutan feeding 09.00 AM, enjoy your time while taking some pictures. Then at 10.00 AM return back to the houseboat and continue boating up to Camp Leakey. Camp Leakey is the highlight of National Park. You will be passing by the black river which is full of wildlife such as many kinds of birds, primates, fish, and also crocodiles. Lunch will be served by our own cook with special various food. On arrival in Camp Leakey, you will visit IC (Information Center) to see all the work of DR. Birute Galdikas studied the orangutan here from 1971 until today. Enjoy your time until 14.00, trekking up into the forest to see orangutan feeding, enjoy the time till 16.00 back to the boat and boating down direct to the Nipa Palm area to see thousand fireflies. Dinner and overnight in the houseboat.

Magelang is a cool pleasant medium-sized city about 40 km north of Yogya, surrounded by several mountains – Merapi and Merbabu in the east, and Sumbing and Sindoro in the west. Magelang serves as a launching point for visits to the sacred 9th century Borobudur Buddhist temple and was an important military base during Indonesia's independence struggle against the Dutch. Pangeran Diponegoro, the region's famed resistance leader and prince of the Mataram Dynasty, is memorialized in a museum and a statue that stands in the town square.

Morning trekking and visit Borobudur
Situated approximately 3 km west of Borobudur Temple, Puntuk Setumbu is a modest hill offering a captivating experience. At the break of dawn, from the hill's summit, one can behold a mystical panorama encompassing the majestic temple, the picturesque Kedu valley, and the distant peaks of mountains. Borobudur stands majestically on a hilltop overlooking lush-green fields and distant mountains. Today you will head to Borobudur Temple.
After enjoying the sunrise, you will go back to your hotel for breakfast and continue your journey.
Continuing your itinerary unfolds with a visit to the awe-inspiring Borobudur, a monumental masterpiece celebrated as the world's largest Buddhist structure and an unparalleled marvel in the southern hemisphere. Perched gracefully upon a hill, Borobudur enchants with its commanding presence, offering sweeping vistas of lush green fields and distant mountain horizons. Outdating renowned landmarks such as Angkor Wat by three centuries and Notre Dame by two, Borobudur's historical significance is nothing short of monumental. Discovered in 1815 and meticulously excavated and restored, this sacred site boasts intricate stone relief panels that provide a mesmerizing gateway into the realms of Buddhist philosophy and the daily lives of ancient Javanese civilizations from over a millennium ago.

This morning, meet your guide for the activity at Candirejo Village.
Candirejo is a typical Javanese village, nestled near Borobudur, where the residents are supported by a local NGO that started a sustainable tourism project. This project aims to introduce visitors to authentic Javanese village life. Embark on a cycling adventure of 3 km that unveils the tranquil charm of this locale and its picturesque countryside. Pedal along narrow rural pathways leading to fields where diligent locals tend to the land. Along the journey, pause to engage with the community, and allow your guide to elucidate various activities, such as chili harvesting and drying (seasonal), as well as the craft of producing cassava crackers and bamboo handicrafts. Your path then guides you to a local residence where the village ensemble will perform traditional gamelan music, resonating with the rhythms of traditional Javanese percussion instruments. Following this enchanting musical interlude, an opportunity awaits for you to join in, endeavoring to master some of these captivating instruments.
Concluding your visit, you will have the opportunity to savor a delightful Javanese meal at a community-funded pavilion house, which is locally referred to as a "pendopo pumah."

Yogyakarta is situated almost exactly halfway along the length of Java, in an area considered to be the heartland of the Javanese. It is home to some of the island's oldest traditions and blessed with a rich, fertile soil – a result of volcanic ash. It is also the cultural capital of Java, with many cultural influences, including Hindu and Buddhist temples, Mosques, and Dutch colonial architecture that harks back to the days when the Netherlands held much of Java in its imperialist grip. In addition to its rich history, Yogyakarta is also known for its art scene and is home to one of the most famous universities of the country, Gajah Mada.

Starting near the iconic Tugu Monument, you'll either stroll or ride a becak (pedicab) to discover the unique kopi joss, a coffee served with a sizzling hot charcoal brick. The adventure continues with a becak ride into the vibrant Jalan Malioboro, where you might savor the famous mi Kadin (stir-fried noodles) at the northern Alun-Alun (square). Moving to the southern Alun-Alun, you can experience the legendary blindfolded walk between two waringin trees (banyan trees). Yogyakarta City Tour & Visit Prambanan
Exploring Yogyakarta by becak (pedicab) is a unique way to soak up the lively atmosphere of this amazingly diverse city. Start with a visit to the walled Kraton palace complex in the city's old quater that was once the palace of Yogyakarta’s sultans. You will also visit Taman Sari water palace, a former leisure haven for the sultans. Then you head to a wayang kulit (shadow puppets) and batic factory, to see how these arts and crafts are made.
Last but not least, embark on a captivating journey to Prambanan Temple, a mesmerizing Hindu marvel located just an hour's drive from downtown Yogyakarta, Indonesia. As the nation's largest Hindu temple, Prambanan is a breathtaking testament to ancient craftsmanship and spiritual devotion, adorned with intricate reliefs narrating the epic tale of Ramayana and dedicated to the divine trinity of Shiva, Vishnu, and Brahma. Its three towering main temple structures, including one that reaches an astonishing height of 47 meters, stand in harmony with over 220 smaller Pewara temples, some lovingly restored, each holding unique historical significance.

Visit Kotagede
On this fascinating heritage walk, explore Kotagede, a part of Yogyakarta that is rarely visited by outsiders. Known for its silver workshops, it is a maze of alleyways and narrow streets where you can get a real feel of traditional Javanese daily life. During the walk you will explore the unique architecture of this close-knit community and see how people live. No visit to Kotagede would be complete without a visit to the local market and mosque, with its unique royal graveyard and bathing complex. You will meet people in the community and take part in a batik workshop. Batik is a centuries-old Javanese craft that produces beautiful colored designs on textiles by dyeing them, having first applied wax to the parts to be left undyed. Each region has its own unique patterns linked to its cultural heritage. Learn the basic skills during this workshop and create your own batik to take home with you! You will then be served a delicious lunch.
After lunch, transfer back to your hotel. The rest of the day is free at leisure.

We will take a train from Yogyakarta - Mojokerto. This is a great way to see a lot of the countryside and to get in touch with the local people.
Upon arrival at the Mojokerto Station, your driver will be waiting in the arrivals area, holding a sign with your name on it, then non-stop transfer to Bromo Region.
Mount Bromo is an active volcano that is part of the 800 km2 Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.
At 2,392m, it may be small in comparison to other Indonesian volcanoes, however, the dramatic views and spectacular landscape of Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park is something not to be passed up.

Bromo Sunrise trek
After a very early morning wake-up call, you begin your journey by jeep to sacred Mount Bromo, an active volcano and part of the Tengger massif, in East Java. After a short, steep drive, you stop off at Penanjakan viewpoint to witness a glorious sunrise. Only when the first rays of dawn begin to appear, do you realize the splendor of the scene that greets you – a spectacular panorama featuring the highest mountain tops of Java. From here you drive into the huge Bromo caldera and then cross a wide, open terrain to get to the centre of the caldera. Here you climb a staircase to reach the top of active Bromo volcano! After your adventure, you will be transferred back to your hotel for a well-deserved breakfast.
The rest of the day is free at leisure to enjoy the surroundings.

It's time to say goodbye to Bromo! After a final breakfast, your driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you back to Surabaya Airport where you can catch a flight home or on to your next destination.
The transfer from Bromo to Surabaya typically takes around 3 hours by car in normal traffic. However, if you have a flight departing the same day, we recommend leaving Bromo at least 5 hours before a domestic flight or 6 hours before an international flight to allow for any unforeseen delays.
